Rid Litter Days in Ridgefield

Pick Up Supplies at: Ridgefield Bicycle Company, 88 Danbury Road Ridgefield Parks & Rec Center, 195 Danbury Road Town Hall Information Office, 400 Main Street (Supplies; safety vests, trash bags, blue bags for recycling cans & plastic bottles)

Drop off points for filled refuse bags on April 18 & 19

  • Branchville Elementary School, 40 Florida Road

  • East Ridge Middle School, 10 East Ridge

  • Farmingville Elementary, 324 Farmingville Road

  • Ridgebury Elementary, 112 Bennetts Farm Road

  • Ridgefield High School, 700 North Salem Road

City Nature Challenge 2026!

Bringing the world together for biodiversity.

  • The CNC is a 4-day global bioblitz that encourages participants around the world to document wildlife in their cities and neighborhoods. For us, we use iNaturalist for this. 

  • The CNC began as a friendly competition between 2 cities in 2016 and has grown to a global event, with 669 cities and 103,000 observers participating last year, making a record high 3.3 million observations. 

  • This year, the CNC is from Friday, 4/24-Monday 4/27

April 28 - May 10: Upload and Identify

May 13 - Results Announced
