BACK to the Norwalk River.
Goetzen
Brook starts near the southeast corner of Wilton's Town Forest
and is most conspicuous as it flows along Saunders Drive and
through Saunders Pond north of Olmstead Hill Road, then south
into Allen's Meadows Park. The entire course of this brook
lies west of Route 7 opposite Cannondale.
Allen's
Meadows is the site of Wilton's community gardens, and is
also used for athletic events, flea markets, and other public
events where a large flat expanse is needed. The park's upper
pond has become a marsh area with no open water, and its lower
pond (a small rectangular area created by gravel removal)
is littered and neglected.

Flooding by beaver dam is threatening trees.
