Although in existence for only 10 years, NRWA has made great strides in educating the public on the importance of both preserving and improving these important natural resources. Here are a few of our accomplishments.

  • Educating watershed residents about environmental needs, concerns, and opportunities through continued offerings of lectures, hikes and other programs.

  • An annual grant to Harbor Watch/River Watch to help identify sources of pollution along the Norwalk River and its tributaries.

  • An annual river clean-up in collaboration with businesses and other organizations.

  • Creating a system of Norwalk River Watershed trails in cooperation with public and private partners and publishing a map of the trails system and parking locations.

Membership contributions enable us to continue and to expand our efforts.
